Fellow VJers, i am asking you all again to please find time to help me. Below is a list of all the things i am taking with me to the interview. Please feel free to add anything that i might have forgotten to include. I need to figure out the things missing in my list while i still have time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. As one member mentioned here, BRING EVERYTHING and BE PREPARED FOR ANYTHING. And that's what i'm trying to do.

Again, thanks so much in advance!

Sincerely,

Chie

upon entering the embassy you will only be asked to give them the passport, appointment letter, DS156,157, and 156K - they don't ask to see the reciept nor the NOA's - but with me I brought it just incase.

With regards to emails, screenshots, rmeittances - don't bring too much. In my case since me and my fiance had known each other since 2003, they didn't asked me those letter, emails, etc etc...besides there is already enough [roof submitted during the I-129f I should think you just bring only minimal amount so to do away bringing a bulk of papers :D

MAke sure you bring the ORIGINALS ( live birth from NSO ; CENOMAR / Annotated Marriage contract for annuled applicant ; Annulment papers from the court ; Official divorce paper if divorced ; FBI clearance showing all names used / other clearances from countries you lived or work for more than 6 months time ; ITR & W2 - in our case since my fiance earns more than what is required in the poverty level, they only asked for his 2010 ITR & W2

As to bank statements and other assets...just bring it just incase.

Ofcourse - do bring pictures. Don't use hard cover albums and big ones since it wont fit.

Goodluck to your interview

There was a member here a month ago that said the CO was a little suspicious because her fiance never sent any money, she explained she didn't need any. Another member same situation had no problem. Just a thought but if you have a job and bank account of your own maybe bring those docs too.

I have known my fiance since 2000 so i guess i shouldn't worry too much. When we filed the petition, he made sure he submitted more than enough proofs. Hence, no RFE, just approval.

With pictures, i took them from this huge, thick albums and made my own "photo album" using thin, transparent plastic covers.

Since you didn't mention anything that's not in my list i take it that i have a complete list already, right? if i am wrong, feel free to correct me, pls.

Thank you soooo much for the reply. I do appreciate it. biggrin.gif

i feel bad when COs expect that we, the Filipina beneficiaries, should have WU/remittance receipts as proof. I think it's just fair for them to also assume that not all pinay beneficiaries receive money from their american partners...

Well, i guess i'll just bring my bank account proofs so they won't give me hard time. Thank you so much for pointing this out. I do appreciate it. yes.gif

Good Luck to all of us here... God Bless us all!

Your welcome, if it helps I am glad. I dont think it will be a problem just maybe good to have your docs. I dont know what else with that person made the CO that way anyhow. But since she did not expect that I dont think she had proof for her own income with her. Dont feel bad, it's a hard country but is not a reflection of a person. I think probably just not what the CO normally see's. And like I said earlier there was another in same situation and had no problem. Good luck ! Edited by Jim N Augie

They are alright but try and organise them in such a way, you can access when easily when asked to bring any.

Please don't allow anything at all to rob you of this great opportunity. The only regret you will have is the

burden of carrying all thses documents which will be short-lived/overwhelmed by the joy of getting the visa.

I had my interview on the 5th october, 2011, just last week and out of these whole lot of documents I carried with me, I was only asked to bring

from my check list, item, 1, 2, 4(v),5, 6(i,ii), and 7

1 Appointment Letter

2. International Passport

3. Passport Photographs (x3)

4. Copies of Immigration and Alien Registration Forms:

i DS-230: Part 1 and Part 2,

ii. DS-156 (duplicate)

iii. DS-156K(duplicate)

iv. DS-157 (duplicate)

v. Form I-134

5. Birth Certificate

6. Police Certificates:

i. Police certificate (previous country I have lived)

ii. Police Certificate (Present country)

7. Evidence of Support:

i. from my fiancée (Tax Clearance, 2010)

8. Letter of intent to marry

i from Me

ii. from my fiancée

9. Proof of our relationship:

I Letters/e-mails

ii. Cards

iii. Photographs taken during her various visit

iv. Evidence of financial support (Receipts of money sent to my fiancée)

v. Telephone Phone bills statement

vi. Itineraries

10. Miscellaneous
