If you already have your tickets booked then it will be your first stop in the US (or outside the US if they have a pre-clearance facility). If you haven't booked then it will depend in large part on the airline. Delta flew me all the way to Atlanta from Shanghai. AA and United are often Chicago or Dallas but it depends on the route. If you haven't booked then look for a flight that arrives in Texas. Either Dallas or Houston most likely.

Hi VJ,

Just want to ask coz I am not clear about POE's. Our original POE is supposedly LAX,California. However, my fiance is now in Texas for his work. Our plan is to fly me all the way to Texas. Will this be ok?

Seems some people are over complicating this. Your POE is just the first place you land in the US, where they will check your passport, visa, and you will go through Customs. After that you can fly to any domestic location in the US. The only restriction is you CANNOT leave the US one you have arrived, so don't be flying to Mexico or Canada. :P If you change your flight and actually want your first stop in the US (POE) to be in Texas then that will not be a problem. The airlines will always route international flights to valid POE's so you don't need to worry about that.

it's depend on your Ticket! Look what does it say... POE- just take note that once you entered in the US country ex. for me going to Florida my flight was manila- beijing-chicago-fortlauderdale. So my port of entry was in Chicago! then I gave them the yellow package and they gonna ask you some questions regarding on what kind of visa u have.

I think the other reply misunder stood your question,, or I am missunderstanding it.

You absolutely can get a flight all the way to texas reguardless of what you indicated would be your POE city. And you can hop from airpoty to airport all day long getting there,

BUT, you POE will be the first airport you land on USA soil. That is where you will preset papers to Imagration. From that point on you can NOT leave USA soil. From that point on you must be on domestic only flights.
