Hi guys just wondering if I could get a list of what all my wife should bring to her Cr-1 interview in manila on November 8th? Thanks!!

2/13/2010: Met in Korea

1/21/2011: Married in Tacloban City

USCIS (135 days)

2/23/2011: sent I-130 and I-129f

3/6/2011: received NOA1 for I-130

3/16/2011: received NOA1 for I-129f

6/17/2011: received NOA2 for I-130 and I-129f

NVC(74 Days)

7/18/2011: NVC received and case number assigned

7/20/2011: NVC Administratively closes I-129f

7/30/2011: emailed DS-3032

8/24/2011: FINALLY received AOS Fee and PAID also sent DS-3032 for the third time (PAID on 8/25)

8/26/2011: Received DS-3032 Acceptance email

9/01/2011: Received IV fee and paid (PAID on 9/02)

9/07/2011: Delivered I-864 and DS-230 to NVC (mailed on 9/06/2011)

9/12/2011: RFE For using expired DS-230 found here on VJ

9/19/2011: Sent to NVC new DS-230 and Japanese police clearance

9/23/2011: Case Complete

Manila Consulate(39 days)

9/30/2011: Manila Consulate receives Case and Schedules interview

11/02/2011: Medical at St. Lukes Medical Extension Center 11/03/2011-Medical Finished and everything is GOOD!

11/08/2011: Interview scheduled at Manila Consulate-Approved

11/15/2011: Visa in Hand

11/19/2011: POE Atlanta

hi!! when i had my interview last month, i brought these stuff with me:

1. birth cert

2. marriage cert

3. CEMAR (its different from the marriage cert, you can ask NSO for it)

4. my son's birth cert

5. NBI clearance

6. original copy of my ds-230

7. affidavit of support

8. pictures and other bills as proof

anyway, during my interview they just asked for my NBI, birth cert, marriage cert, and affidavit of support.. =)

but its better if you bring everything that you think they might ask for as proof :)

ok thanks! I have marriage certificate, her birth certificate,copy of NBI (original was sent to NVC), copy of DS-230, copy of I-864, lots of other evidence, so my questions for you are....will she need a new NBI?, or because we sent one to NVC so the xerox copy will work, and we have our marriage certificate from the NSO, is this the CEMAR?

9/07/2011: Delivered I-864 and DS-230 to NVC (mailed on 9/06/2011)

9/12/2011: RFE For using expired DS-230 found here on VJ

9/19/2011: Sent to NVC new DS-230 and Japanese police clearance

9/23/2011: Case Complete

So why would the NVC ask for an NBI clearance so they can forward it to the embassy and then the embassy just ask for another one? it makes no sense to me

i think its best if you have original copy. but i don't know.. you can ask NVC if photocopy will work since you've sent an original already.

i asked the consul during my interview if i can just photocopy the affidavit of support for my son's interview since im cr-1 and he's cr-2.. the consul said its best if you pass original copies cos they forward it to USCIS.. sooo.. that's why i think its better if you send original copies.. (i read on other threads thou that photocopies are okay to submit, but then of course i don't want them to think that im just sending them stuff just for the sake of it right?)

i think if u submitted photocopies at the NVC they will look for a original docs during the interview.

I submitted the originals with 1 photocopy to the NVC. But its ok now cuz my wife already went ahead and got another original NBI and CEMAR.
