Ok, my fiancee is planning to go to Manila tomorrow. Right now we are confused on exactly where the main NBI Clearance Center is located now. My cousin informed me she got hers at NBI Carriedo, this is the one my fiancee knows as well, but I'm reading online that they moved to a new location on the 5th floor of Victory Mall in Caloocan City? Also, is there another NBI Clearance Center at Robinsons Mall in Otis Manila?

Which is which... I'm confused.

Back story: fiancee's NBI clearance is delayed for over 4 months at San Fernando due to a computer glitch and staff negligence. We really need our NBI clearance now since our NOA2 has already been approved. We want to find the main office for NBI clearances so she can get her NBI clearance released in a day.

We also know the main office on Taft as well. Just wondering what is the best place to go to get a NBI clearance in a day?

NBI taft is the main office. IF you do have a very common name and surname, go to NBI taft. As far as i know, in satellite offices, they don't entertain applicants with very common names and surnames. They'll gonna tell you to inquire in the main office instead.

As for my case, I went to NBI taft. Got there at 7am. The lines literally LONG! Good thing ladies line's different from that of guys. Bring lots of foods and fluids. The entire process is really draining and exhausting. I think they're accommodating as much as 2000 applicants per day. When they reached the said qoata, the remaining applicants will be advised to go some other day instead. I got out at 4pm and have to return after two weeks to obtain my clearances. Good Luck! :)

So you didn't get your NBI clearance in a day? She has a unique name and she never had any problems getting past NBI clearances (some she got in a day, others in 2-3 days tops), so hopefully they can release her NBI clearance in one day.

Yes. I didn't get my NBI clearances that day. I have a very common name and surname that's why I have to wait for another two weeks and return to obtain my clearances. If she does have a unique name, and doesn't have problems obtaining NBI clearances in the past, she maybe then inquire in satellite offices. :)

They have changed the process in July of this year which is the reason for change of locations as well as longer processing if you have a similar name with a case.

I do not recommend going to NBI Taft - it is 'herded' by people and line starts as early as 4-5am... ridiculous.

The new processing centers accept all applicants - there is no more renewal. You fill out new application form and they have added biometrics to the process. I took mine on Aug 5 and because I have a 'hit' (same name who has a case), they asked me to go back on Aug 24. I asked if they can expedite it but the only exceptions are for senior citizens and those with plane tickets (and take note - they call the airlines to verify if you are really booked). I saw some who were able to get their clearance right after doing the biometrics. If your fiance has a unique name, then she most likely will receive it on the same day.

Robinsons Otis has become pretty popular so people are starting to flock but the lines there are nothing compared to NBI Taft. There is no more NBI in Carriedo or Monumento. The satellite offices remain in City Halls like Quezon City, Mandaluyong... The other NBI clearance processing centers are in Robinsons Galleria in Ortigas (they have a cap of 500 persons a day only and numbers are given as early as 5am and are gone by 7am). Robinsons Ermita and Ever Gotesco in Grand Central, Commonwealth and Manila have processing centers too.

Get your NBI Clearance at Robinsons Recto cor N. Reyes St. (former Morayta St.).. If you go early, you will get your clearance in 1 to 2 hours..

if your fiancee doesn't have a namesake then she can just go to any satellite office given above. megamall, robinsons, but no body could tell you if she doesn't have one until she's there. if she has a namesake, no choice but go to the main office...so its in caloocan now, i see.

Aside from the NBI Clearance Center –Victory Central Mall, the NBI has satellite offices at the Quezon City Hall, Muntinlupa City Hall, Las Pinas City Hall, Mandaluyong City Hall, Caloocan City Hall, Valenzuela City Hall, Rodriguez, Rizal Municipal Hall, Marikina Riverbanks, Taytay, Rizal Municipal Hall, Los Baños, Laguna Municipal Hall, and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration in Ortigas.

what we did was, my fiancee filled out a request for NBI clearance in the town near her village. (She already had a clearance from earlier in the year.) By the time we left for manila, the clearance never came through.

right after the first day of medical at St. Luke's, we went to main office on Taft (right behind St. Luke's medical center.) Went through the biometrics entrance. Because she had already filed in a satellite office, she was able to go right in without waiting. About an hour later she walked out with her NBI clearance for the embassy interview.

I do not know how it will work for other people, but this is how we did it. It worked well for us. But then again, this may be an exception to the rule. (Plus we did have a plane ticket booked in her name as well.) the reason for it was an embassy interview on Wednesday.

You're giving old info. Things have changed effective July 2011. If unsure, just keep things to yourself. The renewals process was removed and locations have changed. Use the NBI website and not an old newspaper.
