Hello VJ Users,

i'm new here in a VJ forum, and i hope i am welcome to ask questions.

Ok, so here goes.

me and my new fiance are planning to apply our son a US Citizenship through CRBA.

when i went back to the philippines a couple of weeks ago, we completed all the requirements on the CRBA checklists. and when we went to US Embassy, found out that you have to have an appointment. thats a fail on our part, cuz i listened to someone saying "you dont need an appointment, you can just walk in there and apply"

anyways, NOW i am back here in the US. so the physical presence of me is out of the picture, now i have to do a notary.

my question is....

What Forms, Documents, or anything needed from me by US embassy, so we can complete our sons CRBA application eventhough im here in the US.

Currently, all i know that needed to be notarized is:

-Form DS-2029

-Form DS 5507

-Passport (Old-New), Drivers License, Naturalization Certificate

What Else?

i hope someone can help me. i want to complete the application by the end of this year.

if you need more information, i can provide that here.

Thank You Very Much!

Mark Davis

EDIT:

i forgot to mention, i was naturalized too through my father.

i think they changed that already. if you don't have an appointment, they will not accommodate you.

and the pysical presence part, i understand. but right now, i am here in the US. what documents are needed from me to be NOTARIZED? cuz only my fiance and my son will attend the interview for the CRBA.

I was quoting you..... "you dont need an appointment, you can just walk in there and apply". Application 'are' accommodated by appointment only.......

Note from Embassy Manila:

The U.S. Embassy Manila's online appointment system for new CRBA applications is open. Applications will no longer be accepted through either a courier or through the mail service. Applications that are received through these methods will be returned and applicants will be asked to use the online appointment system. For applicants who were requested to submit additional documents at the time of their interview, you may still submit these documents through the mail or a courier.

In early March, the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy moved into its new building on the Embassy grounds. Public access to the new building will be at a different entrance, but still off of Roxas Blvd. The guards can assist you in finding the new entrance.
