Ok so, being afraid I missed something I would like to ask if I messed up anything by slightly modifying step 5 in this link:

http://montreal.usconsulate.gov/content/visas/pdfs/HowtoRegisterforDHLCourierServicesENG.pdf

I clicked "register for courier services" instead of "Schedule an appointment"

Also for step 6 I selected "Perm Immigrate to US Ready To Schedule" (I believe)

Any input on that? The damn link for this information from the PDF we were referenced to didn't work for the consulate page! It had the right link to this page though:

http://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/ss_country_welcome

I got an idea and googled the site and found the rest of it luckily but I'm afraid I may have already screwed stuff up? lol

When you log in, do you see a page similar to this: http://s128.photobucket.com/albums/p174/smurf47/Immigration/DHL/?action=view&current=part12.jpg ?

You should be able to see your information, plus info on the DHL branch you selected. If you can see all that, then you're fine!

I actually detailed all the steps I did for signing up for DHL, but as long as the DHL branch is appearing, then you should be fine.

And no, NVC doesn't care if you signed up for a DHL branch or not. As far as I knew, you couldn't even sign up for DHL until you had an interview date, but if you signed up, then maybe they changed it. Once you get your interview date, make sure you check the DHL site again to see if everything is still correct.

Yep we get that page!

I'll make sure to keep an eye on it... its not documented very well as the "what next" instructions had a link to the consulate's page that didn't even work! =S

That's cool though... I'll keep you posted how it turns out =D

Definitely keep an eye on it, "just in case". Even I logged in every few days after I signed up, just to make sure nothing changed.

I agree that their instructions need to be updated and explained more thoroughly. I remember when I was signing up, I was completely unsure if I was doing it correctly. But, thankfully, I did. And then posted the steps I did onto my immigration blog.

Don't forget to update your timeline with your CC ;) Filled out timelines help everyone!
