We sent off our K-1 application and received receipt In August 2011 (2011)

I found out i was pregnant not too long after and im due on April 15th 2012

Based on average waiting times, i am expecting my basic acceptance sometime in January/February, meaning my interview could possibly be before the baby is here

I am the beneficiary (Uk citizen) and my fiance an American citizen, we are relying on his father to be our joint sponsor for the affidavit of support

I am wondering a number of things:

If the baby is not here, does he/she need to be included on the household list for the affidavit of support?

Is my fiance a member of my household size? There making the total household size THREE when including our baby?

Should I contact the USCIS NOW about my pregnancy, or will it be ok to wait until i get my acceptance and interview information?

Will my baby have dual citizenship?

Do I need a paternity test?

Will I be allowed an x-ray for my medical?

Also does anyone have any information about the length of time my fiance can stay in the UK with me. He is coming in November, and id like him to be able to stay untill my visa is issued (thats hoping everything goes smoothly and doesn't take too long) we are estimating I will be moving around June. That makes Nov-june a total of 8 months. Im aware visitors can stay up to 6 months, and he will have to depend financially on myself and my relatives which is fine. If he/we go abroad during January, does his visitor visa get renewed on return letting him stay a refreshed 6 months when he comes back? Will the UK cutoms/government consider our situation? He does not want to be away from our newborn baby and have to wait for my in America, I do not think it is fair or can be expected for a father to miss out on the first months of his childs life. In addition, should he get a one-way ticket and be honest about his intentions, or should we get a return to show customs at arrival and then cancel it? We'd like to be honest, but he doesn't want to be denied.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

The Affidavit of Support must be true the date it is signed. If no baby, then not in your household. The interviewing officer may see you are pregnant and mentally add on another family member since it is a subjective decision.

For AOS after you arrive, your household size is 3. For the K1 interview it will be about grandpa's household size + the immigrant, as he will actually be sponsoring.

I don't think they care.

Will my baby have dual citizenship?

Your baby has claim to US citizenship through the father. There are forms to file at the embassy in London to report a birth abroad. It gets trickier if the parents are not married before the birth. If all goes well, then baby can get a US passport and won't need a K2 visa to go with you. If you also get baby a British passport... yeah, kinda dual citizenship. The US does not recognize dual citizenship, but the UK doesn't care. Or you can wait to get a British passport based on birth in the UK to a British mom, but before age 18 I think. Baby will need some kind of documents to enter the US--a US passport or British passport with K2 visa.

Do I need a paternity test?

Probably not.

Will I be allowed an x-ray for my medical?

You can decline it. Do NOT get MMR shots. Tdap is okay, but you can decline that too.
