NVC and divorce decree papers

Another question if somebody kindly can advice from experience...

On the NVC instructions they ask for applicant's civil documents. Do they mean the beneficiary with applicant, or both petitioner and beneficiary?

My husband (the petitioner and usc) was married long time ago and has his divorce decree. So do they want the original document of my husband's divorce decree, or are they meaning only me (the beneficiary) with the applicant and civil document requirements? I have no divorces in my past, so wouldn't need to send them anything regarding this from my side.

They need all civil documents from both parties actually.. im the petitioner and i was divorced but had to include that in our packet of information as well. Be sure you tell the court/register of deeds office exactly what you need so they can give you the official document you will need for immigration. I did that and got a specific document signed showing that the divorce decree is an original copy of the actual document that the court kept. Each state is different thats why i say its best to cal them and tell them what you need it for so you get the right one from the beginning.

Does it also mean NVC wants the petitioner's (usc) birth certificate, police certificate, military records, photocopy of passport bio data page and passport photos OR is it just the divorce decree section (and obviously marriage certificate from us)?
