Accounting Job - in Texas

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in the Philippines and have 5 years experience in major companies. In fact, I have been sent here in the US for two months 3years ago for an accounting job transition. Do you think I have a chance getting an accounting job here (if ever I find one)? Are there subjects here I need to take so they could consider me?

I'm not yet looking because I'm pregnant, but soon I will.

I am a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) in the Philippines. Now, I am also in the US (New York) together with my husband an american. Likewise, I also have that question in mind the same as yours, so far as I know there is what they called AICPA if you wanted to practice accountancy here in the US as the profession. Being an Accounting graduate in the Philippines, a Licensed and have a working experience in the fields is an edge, but here in the USA they have different ways of looking at it, like what you said maybe we need to attend some schooling to get some credit units, take the state board for CPA here and be a professional here in the USA.
