G-325a residence history

My residence history is a mess, I think I've lived in 10 places in the last four years, easily. What's the minimum amount of time before I need to put down a place as 'living there'? I think the shortest I've been at a place is two months.

I lived in China from Feb 2010 to Jul 2011 and got married before I left. I stayed at my wife's parents' apartment from Feb 2010 to Aug 2010, then another apartment from Sept 2010 to Jul 2011. So how do answer the question that says 'Applicant's last address outside of the United States for more than 1 year'? My wife stayed there the full year on the lease, so I can put her down as living in the second apartment, but since I wasn't at either apartment for a full year what I do? Do I just fill out the section where it asks for my residence history and then leave the next section blank, assuming that the person reading it can figure it out?

My suggestion to you is to document your residence history for the timeframe being asked for on the G-325A on a supplemental sheet.

Don't leave the address outside the US question blank, see what I wrote above on how to answer it.

So if I just make another note to see the attachment for clarification, and on the attachment add a short sentence that says 'no single residence of at least a year in duration in China', would that be ok?

I'll expand on what I said earlier. On the form itself you would write "see attached." On your supplemental sheet, you would write the address of where you lived from Feb 2010 to Aug 2010; then you would write the address where you lived from Sep 2010 to Jul 2011.
