We're just finishing up our papers to file for the spousal visa.

I'm the US citizen and living abroad with my husband for the past three years (married in the last one year).

Sucks that we missed the deadline by just a couple weeks to file in the Embassy. :bonk: Now we have to file to the Chicago Lockbox.

I just want to make sure we have everything we need:

Form I-130

Copy of Naturalization Certificate (for me)

Copy of US Passport (me)

Copy of EU Passport (hubby)

Bank Letter Attesting Joint Account since 2009

Copy of Most Recent Apartment Lease

G325A (me)

Supplemental Sheet for Residence

G325A (hubby)

Supplemental Sheet for Employment and Residence

Check for $405 (found my checkbook! haven't used one in years)

Anything else? My sanity?

I guess we are the first wave of expat Americans applying to the Lockbox since the Embassies are no longer taking care of visa applications. Fingers crossed it goes quickly!

Do I need to send a birth certificate copy as well? Or is my Naturalization certificate copy and US passport copy enough?

Thanks!

Do I need to send a birth certificate copy as well? Or is my Naturalization certificate copy and US passport copy enough?

It is either Birth Certificate (if born in US) or Naturalization Certificate (born outside US) or passport. So if you are sending a copy of your Naturalization certificate and Passport you are good.

I preferrred Passport as helps in USCIS knowing my visits to foreign spouse, due to stamps in the passport.
