What is the average after having interview to recivie your visa.

I don't know what the average is but for us it was 2 days. We asked to pick up the visa (apparently you can't do that anymore).

Service Center : California Service Center

Consulate : Manila, Philippines

I-129F Sent : 2008-12-02

I-129F Receipt Notice : 2008-12-05

RFE: 2009-02-26

Approval Notice: 2009-03-13

NVC Received: 2009-03-23

Left NVC: 2009-05-12

Stuck at NVC 50 days

Interview: 2009-06-23 Passed!

Visa picked up: 2009-06-25

POE Detroit: 2009-07-04

Married: 2009-09-11

Filed for AOS: 2009-09-22

Biometrics taken: 2009-10-29

Advance Parole approved 2009-11-04

Employment Authorization approved 2009-11-04

AOS Appointment 2009-12-15

AOS Approved 2009-12-15

Green Card Received 2010-01-02

Filed for ROC: 2011-09-17

ROC approved 2012-03-21

Green Card Received 2012-03-26

Mine took 7 days. I assigned 2go-Caloocan to pick up my visa to save 2 days..

October 2008 - we first met each other at work (Makati, Philippines)

February 2010 - we finally admitted that we are in love (yay!)

Mar 18-Apr 5, 2010 - hubby went to the Philippines for vacation to celebrate his birthday

March 31, 2010 - engagement day!! yay!!

August 21-29, 2010 - hubby went back again to PH for the wedding prep

October 19-November 2, 2010 - hubby arrived in PH for our wedding :)

October 23, 2010 - WEDDING DAY!!

March 18-28, 2011 - hubby's visit to Philippines for his bday (2nd bday together)

USCIS Stage - 136 days for USCIS journey

December 2, 2010 - I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox

December 6, 2010 - I-130 received!! yay!!

December 13, 2010 - NOA1 text message received!

December 16, 2010 - NOA1 hard copy received in the mail

April 28, 2011 - NOA2!!! Thank you LORD!

NVC Stage - 21 days for NVC journey

May 2, 2011 - NOA2 hard copy received in the mail; NVC received our case

May 6, 2011 - Case number and IIN ; DS3230 sent by beneficiary through email to NVC

May 10, 2011 - AOS bill invoiced and paid

May 13, 2011 - IV bill generated and paid

May 16, 2011 - IV bill shows "PAID" ; AOS and DS230 packets sent to NVC

May 18, 2011 - NVC received both packets

May 19, 2011 - Medical exam - PASSED!!! :)

May 27, 2011 - Sign in Failed and Case Complete!!! Woot!

June 9, 2011 - Interview date assigned

July 14, 2011 - Interview @8:30am - APPROVED!!!!

July 21, 2011 - Visa Received! FINALLY!

July 23, 2011 - POE - Salt Lake City, Utah *home sweet home*

What's the avearge of reciving the visa after the interview? :help:

My problem is that I have to book my ticket to California at least ten days so it will be cheap.

can we really do that?!! cos im plannin that il just wait in manila until i get my VISA so that i can get sticker from CFO so that when i go home to our place its already done......... cos its a nice thing to do for us who doesnt live' in manila....right?thanks,.....i read to much on this site... all people here soo kind....mwah :):):)(L)(L)(L)

It really depends on where it is being delivered or whether it is being picked up from a 2Go branch. Patty's took all of 3 days. We're staying in Bulacan and picked

it up from 2Go branch at the Mall of Asia. She got approved Aug 16 and visa in hand Aug 19.

You may want to try researching Igor's Time-line, here on VJ. It is an invaluable resource for questions like yours. Anywhere from 3 to 15 business days not including holidays is the average. I impetuously counted 10 business days, not including holidays, plus 1 extra day to receive the CFO sticker so 16 business days on the 17th day she flies...

She is set to pick up at MOA, same as Dindo & Patty, so far 4 business days ...

The CFO is not a issue because it was done since January to be able to change her passport to her married name as requirement. Thanks for the info

She went through the class already so she has her certificate to return to get her sticker when she has her visa.
