Hello! I'm also from Cebu. I have a question. My baptismal certificate 'GIVEN NAME' has a "MARY" in it so it's slightly different from my 'BIRTH CERTIFICATE' name, which is without the "MARY." Does this have any bearing? Do I need to get a separate NBI clearance for this? I never used my baptismal name in any legal documents though. Thank you!

You could probably get hold of an Affidavit of Discrepancy that the 2 names refer to the same person which is you just to be safe.

A similar problem with names somehow caused delays on my cousin's processing when he was petitioned. An affidavit was requested from us.

Hi, if you are using the name on your birth certificate then you can have your baptismal certificate get corrected. Just go to Patria Office near Cathedral Church. I had an error on my baptismal before. But it was corrected now. You just go to Patria's Office and then there is a form for you to fill up. I am from Cebu also. Just ask also to them if they can do something about it.
