hi all,im new here.2 days ago my parents had their interview in us isl embassy.and co issued 221g but just with my father name and case number.not my mother name and case number on it.so its just for my father,they kept both pp.plz any answer.

Its very typical of islamabad to issu ap for men from paksitan. More than likely your mother will get her visa within a few weeks and your father it may take a few weeks or months....ap doesnt have an actual time frame but you can get an average by looking at the other members from pakistan portal.

We have been in ap for 2 months and still waiting.

You can start calling DOS to find out the updates.. you can search for the number here... i dont hve it in my memory... you will only need the case number and their names dates of birth and who is the petitioner...

Just read the other thread where it said your father received a joint sponsor request with the 221g... that's what you need to do...get a joint sponsor and submit those docs as soon as you can....it takes a few weeks to review or more so get that going asap. You can still call DOS about your case in a few weeks and after you submit your joint sponsor....Wish you luck

thanx eabbas.co issued one green slip in urdu to my parents and one blue 221g asking for joint sponser.but both slips are issued with my dad name not mom.my income is high for 5 household(me+my hasband+2 kids+mom=5)but little down for dad(household of 6)so just my dad needs for joint sponser right?my parent have seperat case nume i filled 2 petition for them,and co gave 221g asking for joint sponser just showing my dad name and case number.im so worried plz guide me.

All you can do is get joint sponsor ... hopefully you can get one pretty quickly. Good luck...

Im sorry i have no experience with that... i only petitioned my husband... but it would be safe to get a joint sponsor that makes enough for both parents to sponsor as well as themselves included in household. good luck

co asked just few question then gave 221g blue and green to my parents,and did'nt say anything kept pp.my mom is approved or not bcoz co issued these form with my dad name & case num.

its very hard to find any join sponser to me i dont have any relative here thats why im so worried if i couldn't find any joint sponser then atleast my mom can get visa for her my income is fine.i couldn't find ans for my question may be try to call dos for confirm to my mom case approva.thanx so much eabbas.good luck

I understand the joint sponsor thing totally... we also had that issue but luckily all we had to do to overcome the joint sponsor request was have my apt lease sent with some other supporting documents to clarify my household size of 5. We were relieved when we heard the co tell me that he didnt need anything else and my husband was on the last thing now which is name checks. (altho it stinks in its own way)

Do you not have any other relatives or anybody else that can support this? Did you not also get an RFE from the USCIS or NVC (not sure if it goes to NVC with what your filing) that you need more income? What about any assets stocks, savings, anything like this?

Calling DOS and clarifying is probably your best bet..or contact the embassy itself thru phone or email to understand better.

Wishing you luck in all of this... pakistan is a difficult embassy to go thru as is a few other ones.

when i was filling i864 for parents i call to nvc and asked where can i put my dad name in my mom form ,or where can i put my mom name in dad form.becoz i was filling 2 form i864 for each parent then nvc told me dont put each other in their form they have seperat petition with mom ur houshold will be 5 and also in dad form household will be 5.i was so confused after 20 days i called nvc they said its approved.i asked about income he said thats perfect.but now co is saying this at interview by giving 221g blue need for joint sponser,221g issued just with dad name & case num.plz any advise from any other user that have filled for parents or filled 2 seperat petition.
