Hello everyone,

My fiancee left for Bangkok yesterday for her physical and Police cert. We only have a few more items to take care of (DS forms), but this step makes me feel, of course, that we're really getting close to sending P3. Hope we can file by the end of the month/early September, since we have to wait for the Police cert. I've also decided to go and visit her. I've been wanting to do this for a while, and at this point it will be good to tie up any loose ends before her interview. I could've waited for the interview, but timing is everything and I don't want to have any issues if the visa takes longer to get. I can also see her family once again because it will be a while before I go back. Since the wait is kind of long for interviews, that's another reason for the visit. Even if I go late September, that will still be 11 months since we last saw each other. Too long!

The long separation with no idea of when it will be over is the worst part of this. When we got our PCC we heard it takes 2-4 weeks. But we were having some documents translated by one of the embassy recommended translation services. The lady there got the PCC for us in 3 days. ...for a small fee of course.

Best of luck.
