NBI clearance

Hi folks,

My fiance went to get her Cenomar and NBI clearance. When she filled out and handed in the form for the NBI clearance they told her it would be a month before she got the clearance, is this normal? It was in Cagayan De Oro where she went to get it. We just Got our NOA2 this week on Monday, i don't want the rest of the process to be delayed if at all possible. The the people where she went to get the NBI clearance said they had a new "system" which is why it would take so long, it just doesn't make sense to me.

This had been an ongoing issue of NBI until they will be able to get renewal for their terminal w/c run out of contract...they said its undergoing bidding yet if your fiancee want it quick, she can go to Manila. she should be at the nbi office there at around 3am to be on the line as there are a lot of applicants there. its a one day transaction if her name gets no HIT. goodluck!!!

NBI did announce a change in the way they are processing NBI Clearance now. In their Press Release, they even mentioned that they would not be processing anything until the new system is up. I think they had just resumed operations early July and may have backlogs that is why it would take them longer to process now.

This is the link to their news NBI news but it did not mention how the new system will cahnge the length of processing.

in dumaguete city in negros is just 10mins,, you can get your NBI clearance right away, with no lines...im from there too..im n the U.S now....or she can go to cebu its also very fast no need of falling in line or go there early....its very fast to get NBI clearance in some provinces...like mine, i took it very quick...

tell your fiancee to go to davao, Davao only in mindanao have new installed system... i went also cebu but theres a lot of people trying to get nbi, i went there tuesday i was in line, later on at 8 am they stop giving priority date and said come back on monday. thats why on that day i went to cebu airport and fly to davao arrive at 7 pm then i went to nbi on that night then the nbi employee says , u can come back 4 a. m and ur priority number tomorrow is one, so i done early in the morning, but i could not on hand my nbi clearance on that day coz my name on HIT but if ur name not HIT then u can have your NBI on that same day. By the way, i am from cagayan de oro also.

yup its normal by this time coz cagayan de oro nbi dont have yet new installed system... they will do manually thats why it takes 30 days.. only cebu, davao and manila taft nbi has a new installed system.

My FIANCE travel 6 hours to Manila to start waiting in line since 3am at NBI and he was told to go back to NBI on aug 22 to release his papers and to show proof since his name was very common and there was 6 other people with the same name.. #######... Don't they just use his middle name and birthday... I think they just want money...Aggghhh so frustrated. He needs to get his passport soon.

****Go to NBI Davao & you can get your clearance for an hour. coz, only in Davao in mindanao area has its new Biometric system. Good luck & God bless
