case pending review by a consular officer

I have been put in AP for already 3 months. I emailed the embassy lot and also calling them. This last Month we haven't heard anything from the embassy although we emailed them and inquired about the status of our case. Just this afternoon I received an email from the embassy. I don't know if this really means they are already working on our case or is it still in line with the papers under AP....

The embassy will conduct background checks for me and for my fiance. Sana nga sis matapos na backgorund check ng embassy. Matagal-tagal na rin kaming nag hintay. Will keep praying nalang talaga.
