NVC Letter

Hi VJ members,

Just wanted to ask a couple of questions. Do we need to wait to get the NVC letter mailed to us or can we schedule the interview once we have the MNL case number when we call the NVC? If we do need the NVC letter to schedule an inteview, can we just use an email from the NVC referencing the case number in replacement of that instead of having to wait for the NVC to mail it to us? Also, I saw a post that stated to give the beneficiary number to the NVC to find out the MNL number. Is this correct? Or is it the WAC receipt number? I called the NVC and gave the NVC rep the receipt number that starts with a WAC .... The NVC rep said they have not received the case so wanted to be sure if I should use the beneficary number instead.

Also, whats the typical wait time to receive the NVC letter and to get the MNL case number? Is there currently a delay in the NVC? I saw timelines where it goes through the NVC process quickly and get sent to the embassy.

Thanks everyone.

yes, you can pay visa fee and set appointment once you have MNL Case Number. and if you dont have mailed from NVC contain Manila Case Number you can print out the email of NVC consist your manila case number. I just had medical last week and i dont have eligibility letter too. i just do is i print our the letter from NVC that they reply from my inquiry regarding Manila case number.

Requirements for Medical

1. Appointment Letter

2. Eligibility Letter/ NVC Letter

3. 3 pcs of 2x2

Suggestion: please do online appointment to SLEC for Medical.

You don't make an appointment letter for SLEC. It is walk in. You can however fill out the registration online for SLEC. It will save you about 30 minutes because they will make you fill it out when you get there. I heard mid week is best for medical.

if you already have your manila case #, you can pay the visa fee now through BPI. Wait til the next day and schedule your interview online. You do not have to wait for the eligibility letter. Otherwise, you will be waiting for awhile. The email you receive from NVC w/ your manila case # is fine. When you are scheduling online, you'll need manila case #, passport info, and the receipt # from BPI.
