Our I-129K was approved, so I am in the process of preparing for P3 and P4. This requires DS156 and the passport number. My Fiancee tells me that her number is the same as the cedula number. When I look at her passport, I see a number on the first page starting with CC letters. But the performed numbers on each page is different. So, which one do I enter ?

Also, once I am finished with the DS156 online form, I can Continue and print it. If I do this in the US, is it still valid for the interview, which could be 2 months away or longer ?

Thanks.

Even though Colombian passports show the passport number as the C.C. number, that is incorrect. The correct number is the one you're seeing on each page, and I believe you can also find this number in the last page. They've corrected this issue in the new Colombian passports since it was creating so much confusion.

As far as how old the info would be in the DS-156 form, it's up to the bank you take it to to pay for her visa. You can also print it in Colombia if you want.

Just went through this withing the last two seeks. All the info on the D-156 should be pretty statis...i.e. won't change. If you do it now then print it, I know you will have the bar code printed but don't worry. If something changes and you need to change it, you can re-print and it will give you a new bar code but there is nothing magic about the bar code. I did a second one because I typed in "N/A" instead of "Not Applicable". A couple of things....the instructios on the Bogotâ Embassy's website says that Banc Helm will put a number on the D-156 that you take with you....they did not, they just affixed a receipt to her passport. Also when you go to Banc Helm be sure to have your Case No. as they have to send an email to the embassy before giving you the receipt and I had to go find the case number and return. Finally, the I-134 Form instructions say to submit supporting evidencer in duplicate, which I did...and they promptly separated the duplicates and gave them back.
