My husband and I have been approved through the NVC, now we are just waiting on the date for our interview in Montreal. Our lawyer called the NVC because we waited the "2-4" weeks to hear from them and they said "yes, everything is complete, but since there are a bunch of staffers taking vacation in August, there aren't that many visa interview slots available." I just wanted to know what others have experienced and what we're looking at as far as timeline. Are there any people given Sept dates? We were really hoping for Aug, but I'll just keep hoping.

Thanks!

This doesn't sound good. We're in the same boat. Our NVC case was complete on 7/21 for both a CR-1 and CR-2.

Did you do EP?

we called ahead to find out when our packet 3 was logged and went straight to booking our interview from there. It was logged on July 7th (we called on the 8th) but i didnt receive and e-mail notice until the 13th of July. I was toled things have been slower then usual at montreal due to the postal strike which made them even more back logged then they already were and with all the holidays it isnt speeding n e thing up. keep calling the NVC to see if u'v been logged yet and then rush over tot he website and book your interview. we managed to get an interview date for October 19th. Hope this helps you some. good luck!!

Sorry but only k-1 visas book interviews, please be careful what you are advising.

CR-1 IR-1 interviews are booked by NVC.

I've got an update for you.

I received the electronic packet 4 this morning for both the CR-1 and CR-2. So from the case complete on 7/21 we've got an interview for 9/14. Now "the missus" is worrying about getting ready to sell her condo.
