My fiancé recieved his k1 visa and the packet that you aren't supposed to open a few weeks ago. And today when I was going through our "important documents" drawer where the visa and the packet were being stored I discovered that some ants had decided tomale that packet their home... One of the downsides of living in the tropics is the bugs.

We cleaned out the live ants but in the process some bugs got slushed and there were ant eggs in the envelope too since it was a nest. We cleaned it out as well as we possibly could without opening the packet or ripping it but our POE is august 29 and now we're wonderig if this is going to cause us problems when we try and enter into the US.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to do? The documents aren't ruined and neither is the Manila envelope .. It's just there are some dead bugs in there..

We would really appreciate any advice cuz we're kind of freaking out
