Cloudy Approval???

I received an I-797 NOA2 , It states the following: "Petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate.Please contact the the consulate with any questions..." Does this mean it bypassed the NVC? Should I contact the consulate in Kiev and ask whats going on?

Other then my original case # listed as the receipt, I only see a number by my " beneficiary's" name..Is this my case# when I call Kiev?

ALL petitions go to the consualtes by way of the NVC. Yours will not skip the NVC. The form letter used by USCIS on about half the petition approvals is not precisely correct.

NVC will assign the "KEV" number to your case and you can use that to make the medical appointment and interview.
