NVC delay/Approval validity dates?

Hi,

My Notice of Approval date was back at the end of June. As of today, nothing has been received by me or my fiance - I called the NVC and they said they had no record of my case and to send an email inquiry. I did, and got a response stating that I should receive something within 8 weeks. EIGHT WEEKS! My NOA2 is only valid until October; I'm not sure the rest of the process will be able to fit into that time frame if this part of the process takes 8 weeks more...Pretty worried. Already four months in and do not want to start again. I want my fiance here with me already! Has this happened to anyone and, if so, any tips?? thanks.

You don’t have to worry about the delay from the NVC. The validation date of the petition could be extended by NVC or the embassy as needed. NVC took 31 days to get my petition and now it is at the embassy.
