Alongside preparing for our K1 visas, I know that most of us are planning for our wedding day as well. This is just out of curiosity. How are you planning/did you plan your wedding?

I noted a lot of differences between the wedding traditions of the USA and the Philippines (for example, primary sponsors, secondary sponsors, etc.)

We are still planning our church wedding come this November 11th. Yup, 11/11/11! :D Ours will be a Catholic one so it adheres to a set of guidelines governed by the Church. Even if that's the case, weddings in the Philippines (even if in a Catholic procession) differ a lot.

So how will yours be?

We had a catholic wedding in Vermont.. We did the preliminary interview and pre-cana seminar in the Philippines, and had the documents shipped to the diocese in Vermont, and it went great! We had sponsors, and the candle, coin, veil and cord ceremony as well. I blogged about all the planning here, and also made a wedding website. :) Enjoy wedding planning, and more importantly, have a great one!

Hi! Thanks! Wow, been reading your blog and I couldn't agree more. Things are indeed relatively more expensive in the US! It's a much complicated planning too to do everything being miles away! :D

I enjoyed your site! I love your photos too! They make me all excited for our day.

We're currently updating our site too :)

Congratulations, Tim & Steph! Stay happily married! :D

if our visa will be approved this year,we'll have the wedding in the US. if not,feb of next year we'll join the mass wedding of the catholic church. nothing fancy but very solemn. no reception afterwards.

Good luck to you! I hope you get it soon so you can be together! :)

Our original plan was a beach wedding but since it will be snowing when I get there, we change our minds to a military chapel wedding. It will just be simple, nothing fancy. :)

Rightnow, I'm starting to shop online for my husband-to-be's ring(wedding band). I elected to buy his ring that's why. :)
