Hello everyone! Thanks for all the great information on this site!

I was hoping someone could help to clarify a recent notice we received on our I-130 petition. It's a I-797C notice of action/notice type: Transfer Notice. It says that "Preliminary processing of the above applicaiton or petition has been completed, and it has been transferred to the USCIS office in Atlanta" (where I live - I'm the petitioner) and "That office will notify you when they schedule an interview on the application or petition". Our status on our USCIS account has changed from "Initial Review" to "Testing and Interview".

We filed almost 6 months ago and were expecting (hopefully) the NOA2 any day. I had never heard anything about transfer notices and cannot find much about it on this site (although I may have missed something). Can anyone help clarify what this means, and why we may have received this rather than the NOA2? Is this progress or a potential setback? Also, it seems like this means an interview for me here in Atlanta, but we thought the interview would be for my husband in the Netherlands - could they require both?

Appreciate any help/advice on this - thanks in advance!

They can require an interview from the USC if they see something about the petition/person that needs to be discussed.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Should we be concerned? It doesn't seem like this is very common - most Feburary filers are flying through the NVC process at this point. :(

Just prepare yourself, you see a post every now and then on VJ about a USC being interviewed. But not very often. Make sure you have your copys of your file and bring some extra relationship evidence etc.

Thank you Inky, I appreciate your help! I'm wondering if this could be because we returned from Holland after our wedding (after getting bad advice from a lawyer and before we understood the immigration process ourselves) he was refused at customs. Not "removed" but "refused" which they said should not affect our immigration processing because they could see from our conversation that it was due to our lack of knowledge of the process rather than any wrongful intentions. We quickly learned the process and have been going by the book ever since! But I'm wondering if this is what they want to discuss?
