hi to all vj'ers! finally after 7 mos of waiting, our case has finally completed. And another month of waiting for an interview. Accdg to NVC, they usually start scheduling interviews 2nd week of each month. US embassy in Manila for the month August is already booked so we are expecting for September interview. My hopes were so high and I felt frustrated but on the lighter side we are finished with one stage of this journey. Another stage is about to begin and hoping everything will be alright. Something good is going to happen and is happening soon. God is walking with us thru this journey. Never let go of hope, a place called AMERICA. Thanks to all who helped us. God bless us all.

"Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today".-Thich Nhat Hanh quotes.

We too are awaiting scheduling of a interview in Manila for my wife's IR-1 visa, the case was completed on July 5th. She is going to do her medical exam next Tuesday and get that taken care of.

Even though they say they only schedule in the second week of the month I call every couple days to get a update because a few days ago I spoke to a NVC operator and he said that they do in fact schedule at other times during the month and to call back every few days and see. I hope you all the best.

If you are lucky you can get a slot from a cancellation.

Yes and I was surprised. Normally you get the "your case was completed on blah blah but unfortunately we were not able to schedule you a appointment for August". The guy was really nice and actually said because of the holiday weekend on the 4th they were way behind and they were still trying to make appointments last week. Also said that they do make appointments all through the month but not nearly as many as the second week of the month. So I guess there is still hope.

Well some of us did not get our NOA2 as quickly as u did so that's why some of us are stressing out and with the issue of the budget here and all of us have paid our fees we don't want to be stuck with out our interviews any longer and also we should be able to make appointments like K-1 visa when our case are closed and not have the government see if you will have an appointment or not.

Called today to hear the same old song and dance from NVC.

Called yesterday said the same thing but this time I kind of found out that they keep track of how many times you call to ask because the person stated to me and said the last time you called we said to call back after the second week of August.
