We had a visa interview in dec.2009. We were denied but requested the consulate look over our case again. They ask for my fiancee to come in for another interview but he had to return to his home country of Iraq so this was not possible. From what we understood they were returning our case to the usa since he couldnt reinterview there. It will has been one year and 2 months since they told us they were returning our case to the us. We have heard nothing nor have i recieved anything from uscis or dept of state or our local service center.our status still states aproved on the website. Could they have kept our case in sweden and just let it die there since it was expired ? I would assume someone would have to send me a denial letter. All we have is the letter that was mailed to his old address in sweden from the consulate. We will marry soon in Lebanon and try to refile but i was wondering if i need to find our fiancee visa first. and also if there is some way to get our original documents returned to us.
