Waiting to schedule the Interview a bad thing?

Ok, my fiance just mentioned that it is the busy season at his work and he may not be able to take off to get the interview done until closer to December. Yes I've told him that after the NOA2 is approved, we have 4 months to get the visa issued. I would like to know anyone's thoughts on this as it worries me for a few reasons. 1) I'm not sure I could take waiting all that time to know we are approved or not. 2) What if there are issues? It will take that much longer to get them straightened out. 3) What if the consulate official sees the hesitation to schedule the interview as disinterest?

UGH! I really can't imagine that his work will give him grief over taking a few days off for this. Now in all fairness, the consulate is a 3 hour drive away and he will have to do his medical and interview in Vancouver. So he will probably have to take off a minimum 3 days from work. You know, you think, okay, everything will fall into place, just be patient, blah blah blah and then something like this comes up.

Nevermind. Looky answered in another forum wherein it was advised that the 4 months can be extended by the embassy as long as the case is in their system before the 4 months. So the above is a moot point. Thanks anyway!
