Hey Everyone,

first off, thanks for everyone contributing to these boards- lots of great info. I've been working in the US on a TN visa for over 10 years now, my current visa expires 09/12.

I got married to my US girlfriend 06/25/11 and now starting the AOS process.

Im getting started with these forms- am I missing anything?

1. I-130 Petition for Alien Relative

2. G-325a Biographic Information

3. I-864 Affidavit of Support

4. I-485 Adjustment of Status

5. I-765 Employment Authorization

6. I-131 Application for travel document

7. G-1145 E notification

thanks in advance for any advice, Im planning on filling these out myself- wish me luck!

I should also mention that I am in an extremely similar situation as you. I am going for a green card now (is that what you are going for?)

Anyway, I was directed to this post http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/212749-from-tn-status-to-green-card/

It has outstanding information on the process I (and yourself it seems) am going through.

Thanks for the link to that great post above!

I've started my i-130 and had a few questions:

My wife is a US citizen. (married two weeks ago here in US)

I am a Canadian on TN status. (currently here in US, and have been for the last 10 yrs, dont plan to leave until this AOS is done)

She is the Petitioner, I am the Beneficiary- correct? (sorry if this is a really obvious question, just want to double check)

Field 14- "Date Arrived" I received my latest I-94 in the mail while I was in the US. Do I use the date it arrived? do I use the I-94 valid start date, or the last time I crossed the border into the US with this I-94?

Field 22- "Your Relative is in the US and will apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident at the USCIS office in:"

Do I put the closest local office to where I live? is this where I will go in for the AOS interview?

any advice would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance.

I have to give my disclaimer again that I really am not the expert here.

For field 14, I am going to put the arrival date of my TN-1. The reason is because just to the let, it asks for the "Arrival/Departure Record". That implies to me, that it also wants to know the arrival date of the TN-1 itself.

As for field 22, I am fairly certain that you want to put in the city of your local field office.
