This came straight from SLMEC on Monday morning Manila time. So I do not know if they changed it or not. Maybe it might be due to the volume of people that day? No idea. but thanks for the heads up on other people's experiences. I thought it was new as well allowing petitioners with their beneficiaries.

There's no room inside for anyone except the benficiaries and medical staff and the guards. They will not let you in. Expect to stand/sit wait outside like everyone else. They just mean you can come to SLEC with her - not inside and accompany her during the exam, despite what the note says. They just don't have the room.

others can correct me. But you can arrive as early at 4:30 am. However reception does not open until 6:00 am and cashier /x-ray/lab not until 7 am, other areas are between 7:30 and 8:30 am. You pay onsite at level 5. see this link:

who knows what SLMCEC by "you can accompany your fiancee." From what others are saying here, I will get to sit outside for a long time watching the crowd.... and praying the jeepneys stay on the road....

But I suggest that you and your fiance just go there in the afternoon. The process will be a lot faster rather than going in the morning. I, for example went there Friday at 2:30, done with everything by 3:30, but needed to come back the following Monday (they are closed during weekends and holidays) for another consultation(I'm pregnant)and needed psych eval. But if it was not for those two additional referrals, I would have been done that Monday.

Do you pay right there or somewhere else and get a receipt??? Also what time did you arrive to insure you got in that day??

I suggest not to go there on a Monday.. I went there Wednesday at 1pm and I'm done by 4pm. Went back Thursday for the results - went there at 9am and out at 11am. No need to go really early because there will be lots of people waiting. Better do it when almost everyone is done so that you don't have to wait for a long time. People are all rushing there at 4:30am thinking that they all get the first spot.

You will pay there and they'll give you a receipt.

Goodluck!

I wish we could go on the friday before or something, But I am taking time off to go there. We are hoping all goes well and do it all in a week. Gretchen has many of her shots, and TB test/ TB shot done recently. (of course I know it does not mean much at St. Lukes but am hoping.) In week, we will do the CFO, the medical and the embassy interview if all goes well. They have never traveled on a ferry or a plane. So this will be a first for them. It also lets me know if Gretchen needs motion sickness medicine or not. Thanks for all of the help. Soon I will be in manila joining the throngs of people just trying to get a visa for my fiancee.
