Hi everybody,

I was able to schedule in advance my parents interview using Philippine Embassy's Online Scheduling System even if their cases haven't been closed. The earliest available date was Aug 8, 2011 and I took it. I know it is a very long shot since I really don't know when our cases will be closed but I hope it will be before this date and all the documents have been forwarded to the Philippine Embassy. If not, I can always re-schedule online.

I don't know why I was able to do it. Probably because I do not have to pay anything since we have already paid NVC. Or because of my visa category, I don't know. Do you know anybody here scheduling themselves online or over the phone ahead of NVC?

That's weird...i didnt have to deal with the online scheduling when we did the visa. Hope everything works out. I would personally call the embassy to make sure they have a valid interview. I dont know how the process has changed since we did it over a year ago, but the NVC was scheduling the interviews back when we did our visa. Being that you are dealing with a different visa catagory, that could be the case too. I take it your parents have already done and passed their medical right? Good luck!

Yes, they did and passed their medical exams. I just tried scheduling last night and it worked! Received individual emails as well. They have a barcode with UID number and instructions to print and bring the letter on the interview.

I changed my parents interview online to Aug 15 instead of Aug 8. I am afraid NVC may not be able to send all the documents in time for their interview once their cases are closed next week or the week after that. Right now, it is still for further evaluation by a Supervisor and they asked me to wait 10-15 days.

This is taking forever and I am not sure if they will make it before my wife gives birth on Sept 5.
