Scheduling a appointment

Hello everyone,

My wife's K-3 visa application being processed at the NVC was completed on July 5th and according to the information given to us by operator they are now awaiting scheduling for her interview in Manila. The operator I spoke to said there are no appointments remaining for July and to call back on July 15th and see if a appointment has been scheduled for August.

My question is can I go online and pay the fee's and schedule a appointment myself? I have registered and created a account with all my wife's info on the schedule a visa interview website. If I pay the fee's online will I be able to get a interview date sooner than if I waited for the NVC to do it? Thanks in advance............

it sounds like to me that maybe the NVC is going to process your IR1/CR1. did they say anything about closeing your K-3 visa cause NVC set the appointment dates for IR-1/CR-1 visas.??? have you paid any fees to the NVC yet??

They did not say it was closed only that it is now completed and awaiting interview scheduling in Manila. I have paid the AOS fee of $88 and the IV fee of $404 but not the fee for the interview yet. I was thinking of paying that online today if it would help speed up our appointment date for the interview. Thank you.

well if paid those fees to NVC then they must be processing you as a IR-1/CR-1. theres no more interview fees that iam aware of.... NVC sets the interview for IR-1/CR-1 visa's and as you can tell by my timeline no more openings until aug...ours is aug the 8th.....but to make sure i'd call NVC back and ask them ......are we being processed as a K-3 or IR-1/CR-1. you be must better off going the IR-1/CR-1 anyways and cheaper too. .....

your welcome..........my i add at this point if i was too choose betwen the two i'd go for the cr-1, your time is close anyways for a appointment, specking of which FYI..NVC told me they set aug appointments up to the 15th of the month, after which then the appointments go for sept, but i called them everyday after approvel and they finally set our appointment for aug the 8th, i never followed what them operators told me, so good luck!!.......call em everyday

well good.........theres no more fees to pay except medical, and NVC will set up the appointment, but i wouldn't wait on them i'd call everyday until they give u a date for it, hehehe bug the hell out of them...and if she hasn't done her medical now is the time to set that up too....good luck
