application fee, Thailand

Hello,

We just got packet 3 yesterday.

I have quick question on how to pay the application fee.

Instructions say that the fee can be paid at any Thai Post office, and to mail the receipt.

What is the best way to do this?

Is it as simple as going to the post and telling them that you want to pay the non-immigrant visa fee?

Or should it be worded a certain way?

anyone have experiences they can share?

thank you

Just go to the post office and tell them that you want to pay the US visa fee, They know. They will give you a form to fill up, then give the form back to the officer, check all spelling, pay the fee and then they will give you the receipt.

Cheers,

My fiancee wasted time going to post offices that did not know anything about the application fee.

Also, I thought we had to send the fee receipt with packet 3 so it delayed our sending of packet 3.

I was told that you can pay the fee at the post office across the embassy where the interview will take place.

You just have to pay the fee prior to the interview and bring the receipt to the interview.

Good luck!

The post office that your fiancé went to is in Bangkok? I paid visa fee many times (for my clients, I am an education agent) at post office in various location but never have problem.

I suggest to pay the fee in advance as you will already have many things to think of on the interview day, so you don't have to worry about paying the fee. But if you're going to pay the fee at the post office near the embassy, please check the working hours carefully. Most of the post offices open at 08.30 am if you have an early morning interview appointment you might not make it on time.

P.S. Post office at Suvarnabhumi airport open 24/7.

Thank you to everyone that helped.

She was able to get it done at one of the larger Post offices in her area.

One thing to note.

The packet #3 instructions list the fee as $131.00 US.

However the Embassy web page has an update stating that the new fee is $350.00 US

This caused a bit of panic and confusion for about 10 minutes.

I hope this info saves some of you a head ache.

Hello,

I'm bringing back this thread with a quick question. The instructions say to send the fee receipt with all the other required documents. So if some members are paying right before the interview, I would think it's ok either way? If it's obtained the day, or couple days prior to the interview, just state in packet 3 that the fee receipt will be brought at the time of the interview?

Thank you.
