NOA2 says sent to consulate

First time poster..

I received my email notice on 06-27-11 and got the letter on the 29th. The letter says it has been approved and forwarded to the above listed consulate. There is no consulate listed and when I call NVC I got 2 different interpretations of the letter. Its K1 visa petition. The first response I got was that they had not heard of them bypassing NVC but that the letter should have said it was going to NVC. The second response I got was that the letter said the correct information. I'm confused if they actually would bypass NVC and go direct to Manila consulate. Can anyone shed any light on this? I've seen many posts here where cases get from VSC to NVC in a few days. In fact, the first response I got, the guy says they normally get them within 72 hours. The second person said takes 15 working days. I am just trying to figure out where to go besides keeping on calling NVC hehe.

The NVC dose not get bypassed. All approvals go through the NVC and then assigned a unique case number AKA Manila Case #. The NVC will then

mail your approved package to US Embassy in Manila. The NVC has slowed down a bit on lately on mailing packages to embassies. I say give it about

3-4 weeks for the package to make it to Manila. If it gets there early, great! I will be calling the NVC late next week to get the Manila Case #. We were

approved 6/24/2011.

dont worry the same thing happened to me and i just got my case# today. they will soon officially record that they have it and will give u a case#. i worried to at first but just be patient.
