My fiance' will be making his POE at Prescott later today..... other than the sealed envelope, his passport with visa, and his letter for his vehicle and proof of ownership.... is there anything else he needs??? He will have all of the copies of everything from his K1 application with him, but it will be packed along with his stuff. Should he have the NO2A available??

We're so excited we just want to make sure we haven't forgotten something!! biggrin.gif

No need for NOA2 or copys of the K-1.

Just the 'do not open' envelope the passport with K-1, 6$ USD for the I-94 charge.

Compliance letter and ownership papers of the car.

Theoretically, he needs to be prepared to show the chest x-ray from his medical. That's what all the instructions I received said. But apparently they never actually care in real life.

And since this is a land crossing he'll need 6 or 7 dollars US for the I-94 fee. A credit card will do.

And he should know the blue book value of his car. The car import form will ask for it. He may want to lowball it a little - some jurisdictions use the import value as the basis for a 1-2% import tax when he later goes to register it.

He's in the USA!!!!kicking.gifkicking.gif PHEW!!! We can breathe now! yes.gif

My fiance' had no problems crossing at Prescott/Ogdensburg. It took 1 1/2 hours from the time he pulled up to customs to driving away. He said he was in line for at least 25 minutes of that. The Border Patrol Officer was friendly and admitted to never having processed a K1 before, so he went and got a supervisor laughing.gif... it ended up being the supervisor my fiance' had dealt with when he got denied entry and flagged back in 2009 and he was VERY friendly and actually seemed happy to see that he was following through with the K1 and had been telling the truth 2 years ago!!tongue_ss.giflaughing.gif They never even looked in his car (that was stuffed full) and the importing of it took longer than printing up his 1-94.

He should be home in about 5 hours now!!kicking.gifheart.gif What a perfect way to celebrate Canada Day.... with my Canadian Love!!!!!heart.gifheart.gif

Cheers everyone!
