i got an RFE for an incorrect check amount. my question is when i send back the package with the correct amount, do i have to send the paperwork in the same manner as they separated it? they put the photos in separates plastic bags, etc.

It would be interesting to know how the arranged it. Could give some clues about how they want to see the package arranged. Can you post more details?
