Not sure if this is the correct forum, if not, please would one of the mods move this topic?

My SO who is a USC by birth has just moved into the house we bought together. As we are waiting for our NOA2 on a K1 visa we tried to change the address on the USCIS website but USC isn't one of the options in the "status in the US" box (despite the fact that he has selected the "yes, I'm a USC" in the beginning. The options given are "other", "permanent resident", "student" and "visitor" and we're not sure if it should be the first or second option as he is a permanent resident, i.e. living there, but the term is often used to specifically refer to GC holders / permanent visa holders.

Any input on this would be muchly appreciated.

Also, as the beneficiary I would be in the box "other" rather than "spouse" as we aren't married yet, of course, correct?

Thanks so much for your help!

You can both use this when necessary.

Thank you for your response, but it doesn't really answer the question - we had found this page and as I'm still in the UK I don't need to change address but when you click yourself through the "Change of address" options you have to select the status of the person whose address is changed. For him it should be US Citizen but that's about the only option not available.

Any other takers?

The very first option is whether you are a US citizen or not. Then asks if you have an application pending. Then if it is still pending. Then asks for name, DOB, the form number that is pending, receipt number (from your NOA1). Unfortunately I can't get past that page to see what's next because it won't let me make stuff up. Are you saying it asks for status again later? If it does then just put "other".

I admit their online thing is slightly messed up because it required me to fill in all the fields, even those it said were not required.

Yes, they ask about status again and don't give you USC as an option. I just rang the USCIS line and the guy on the phone said he can't help me because I'm not the petitioner, so I guess my better half has to ring them which is a shame as I wanted to take that off his plate...
