Ok, we're filling out the DS260 online for a hopefully upcoming interview at Juarez. At the part where it wants "petitioner information" it asks "Who is petitioning you" and then has a drop down menu. Fiance is not one of the options!!! It has spouse, brother, sister, mother, father, employer, etc..... We don't want to lie about something but since it is a drop down menu we can't physically type anything in. What do we do???

spouse since its the closest to fiance. I did that and several others too and had no problems!

K1 visa
Filed I-129: Dec 3rd 2010
Interview: July 6th 2011 APPROVED!

AOS
Filed: Oct 4th 2011
AOS Interview: Feb 7th 2012 - RFE sad.png
AOS Approved: Feb 9th - without sending RFE
Green Card received: Feb 17th smile.png

Approved: March 13th 2014

Does it let you just hand write in "fiancee" if you leave it blank?

It doesn't allow you to write in anything and there is no "other" option.

  • 12.30.2010: I-129F sent
  • 01.05.2011: I-129F received & signed by Cates
  • 01.06.2011: NOA 1
  • 04.25.2011: NOA 2
    ~~~NOA1 to NOA2: 109 days~~~
  • 04.29.2011: NVC received
  • 05.16.2011: NVC left (I don't know why my packet was held at NVC for over 2 weeks)
  • 05.19.2011: Consulate received & signed by Jesus
  • 05.17.2011: Packet 3's date on letter (so it appears my letter was written before it was received at the Consulate...)
  • 06.06.2011: Packet 3 mailed to petitioner in CA
  • 06.10.2011: Packet 3 arrived a CA
  • 07.05.2011: Medical
  • 07.06.2011: ASC appointment
  • 07.07.2011: Interview
