hello evryone!

my interview was on June 6 2011.. My fiance name is jay-on dimalanta, when he was 13 his stepfather adopted him and he became j-on clarkston, they filed petition for him but it has been denied because of 2 yrs custody. knowing that he is biologcal son of he mother , years past consulting lawyers back to the U.S. explaining that he is the biologcal son , her mom and my fiance took dna test and her mother repetition him again as jay-on dimalanta. june 2005 my fiance was 21 yrs old he enters US and became USC (2010) as jay-on dimalanta..

during my interview the CO ask me who is j-on clarkston? i said he'smy fiance, she asked why he change his name, all i know that time is he was been adopted by his stepfather, i wasnt able to explain the side of my fiance.. the CO asked me if jay-on clarkston has any criminal records? i said none.

the CO said, "okay Ma'am before i give you the approval i just need the explanation letter from the petitioner regarding name change and reason.""

June 10, i sent the letter together with our passport (me and our son),. i Called the embassy yesterday and they said that our case is already forwarded to the CO.

I am worried,, do you think, she's gonna aprrove our case? and how long? its been 1 week already..

It just o hard to wait without any idea about the case..

Just be sure to bring that letter about the circumstances of your fiances name to the interview then. Bring everything you ever filed to the interview and everything that can support your relationship and show the reason for the name change of your fiance. You still have the interview to go... so just wait to see waht they say then :) im sure it will be fine but be sure that not only you have a letter but supporting evidence as to the name change.
