Please help--Evidence for not required to filling taxes.

Hi All,

I'm about to file for AOS but i'm confused how to explain why i was not required for not filling taxes.I called the IRS today and after asking me lots of questions ,they told me i was not required to file taxes because i earned less then the required amount.So now i'm trying to write an explanation for not filling.Can somebody guide me how to do that and if there is any Irs publication i need to attach with the letter?if somebody got a sample letter of this kind i would greatly appreciate.

USCIS is quite aware of the cut-off point. I wrote a short sentence on a separate paper that I attached to the form - it read "We have been living abroad for the past ten years and neither of us has worked during that time. Consequently, we did not file any tax returns."

We were not questioned at all.
