I am travelling to Nigeria June 24th. I mailed off for my Visa on May 16th to the Nigerian Embassy in Atlanta. I have not heard anything back yet, nor can I get ahold of anyone in the Embassy. I've left voicemails and emails. What should I do?? I plan to travel to Atlanta on Monday if I don't have my passport back by saturday. Any other suggestions??? I'm freaking out here!

Help me please!!

Your Visa Ought to have being ready within 10 working days. When my wife came down, she used an agent in the states and it took less than 7 days for her Visa Approval..try to call during the working hours.

Leaving emails wont be responded to.Calls will be better and i am sure someone will pick up

Well, I finally got ahold of someone on Friday. They needed more info, copy of his passport data page and flight itinerary. So I faxed that to them. Now my question is, will I receive it in time to leave on Friday???? Should I make a trip to Atlanta to pick it up? Will they let me pick it up? I called to see how much it would cost to postpone my departure and that will cost $700! OMG! I am just very upset that they have had my passport for this long, didn't send me anything stating they needed more info, etc. Yes I have included a return postage paid envelope. I'm upset that it's taken 2wks for someone to answer the damn phone there!! I wonder if the fax that I sent on thursday peeked someones interest?

They do have a way to pick them up directly , the visa services use this but I am not sure if they do it for regualr people . The issue will be is it already posted ? If so if you paid for next day delivery you should be ok, if you paid for 3 day you may not make it .

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Well, I travelled all night to get to Atlanta, only to miss the office hours by an hour (I forgot about the time difference) :(. The Embassy called me and they didn't receive the passport data page via fax (weird because it was the first page behind cover letter). So I will go first thing in the morning. I hope to GOD they'll let me take my passport home with me.
