About PCC. Any one did PCC at surat,gujarat, India

Hello guys,,

This point(PCC) is giving me headache now. Is anyone is from surat city, gujarat, india who did it pcc from passport office or local police commissioner office? I m looking forward for PCC to summitte with DS230 either from passport office and local police station. My wife went to passport office to get pcc, but they told her you must have interview appointment letter from consulate office(Mumbai) in order to get Pcc. Then after she went to surat city (Gujarat state,India) police commissioner office and they told her the same things as she heard at passport office.Even they have written on notice board that which documents do you need to get PCC, one of them document is interview letter from consulate office. I don't understand now how to get PCC. I got some reply from VJ and some friend and they mentioned to get local PCC and we tried but it did not go through. So is there different rules for pcc from different passport office of city and state. I will wait for reply from my all dear VJ friends.

I believe VJ member Digital82 had to go through this.

He had to submit his DS-230 form and then wait for an RFE. After and RFE was issued he then sent it to his spouse and they were able to get the PCC.

He then had it submitted to NVC and it then it was able to be processed for approval

I believe you might have to go through this same procedure.

This will delay your file at NVC for at least 2-3 weeks. Depends on how fast you can get the PCC.
