Calling for the appointment VS scheduling online, ALSO: Petitioner or Beneficiary schedules?

I posted this in another section but for some reason I'm not getting any responses so I figure it can't hurt to post it here where I'm sure it will be seen:

Hey guys, last week I paid the $350 fee over the phone and they gave me a confirmation receipt number. (btw I don't recommend paying over the phone since the computer generated response only tells you the number once, and very quickly. I'm not 100% positive I got it down correctly).

So, I, the petitioner, paid the fee on the phone, and I was told I can call again to set up the appointments for ASC and interview. However, having just read through 15 pages of a Juarez related forum, it looks like the beneficiary should request the appointment online, that way he can print an appointment confirmation letter? Is that right?

So, should I the petitioner make the appt. or should my fiance the beneficiary do it?

Also, I am worried that if he tries to go through the website to schedule the appointment, that there might result in some confusion since I know a whole lot more about the ins and outs of this than he does, and the site would be in Spanish for him but possibly using terms about this process that I am not familiar with how they will translate (maybe for instance something like asking for the invoice # or MVC receipt #).

So, does HE have to print an appointment confirmation? Or, if I were to do it, could I just email him a copy of this (as long as it doesn't print blurry, etc.)??

I REALLY want us to be able to schedule the appointment today, but I'm paranoid about getting it wrong!

Thanks for the help guys!

you as the petitioner can make the appointment, they send you a confirmation email that says the exact same thing as the confirmation page when it comes up. I'm the petitioner and I made the appointment for my fiance.. our situation is a little different because I'm here in Mexico with him but it's not a problem for you to make the appointment for him.

You can just forward him the confirmation email.
