SHOULD WE BRING THE ORGINAL W2 & ITR?

hello vj friends,

Just want to ask if do we really need to bring the original copy of W2 and ITR? on the day of interview?..

coz il be having my interview on july 12, and i wanna make sure that im bringing the right one...thank you.

yes, it should be original. and the also the Affidavit of Support coming from ur fiance'. you can also bring a statement of account just to be sure cause we did that too. I just had my interview yesterday and fortunately i passed! I wish you goodluck on your interview...

Oh! this must be new. Of all my immigration interviews I was never asked for original W2's and ITR's.

yes, and im wondering if they really need the orignals coz if it is, do they`ll just gave it back? coz my fiance told me that he needs the originals too..dont know which is which :unsure:

I called their call center about it and they said that they only need copies of it. Just make several copies though.. You're interview date is a day after mine, which s July 11th.. LOL good luck to us!

All I know is that for folks like me that only get an electronic copy of my W2 and file electronically, a copy is the only thing i CAN give them, lol.

Same here. I haven't actually filled out an old style form in over 10 years. Although I do get hard copies of my W2's still. The IRS has been attempting to discourage the old written form tax filing for years now.

no they did not return the original but i have copies with me. anyway, the original papers that i submitted during the interview are the DS Forms, the NBI, Bith Certificate, Affidavit of Support, W2 & ITR.
