hello visajourney members, did anyone knows how long did the homeland security receive the packet for AOS, EAD? we send our packet May 24, but until now we dont have any mail from them, my visa will be expired this june 15, im so worried maybe im illegal to stay here in US although we are married but we send them all the requirements thru our lawyer, and our lawyer told us he sent it may 24 and right now he's on vacation.. im so worried.. any advice will be appreciated..thanks vj members.

Well your k-1 visa expired the moment you entered the USA with it. So that is non-issue.

Your I-94 is the thing you want to pay attention to but since you married within the 90days time frame after entry that also is currently a non-issue.

Did you send your AOS to the DHS? because it was supposed to go to USCIS in chicago.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

While others are reading this, I have a similar situation.... while we are waiting on the AOS, AP, and EAD response what documentation proves they are still legal once the 90 days expires? or are they? I assume so but.... just checking. Thanks!

The status is considered PENDING. They would carry a copy of their NOA1 and ID with them at all times.

yes we already send our AOS together with EAD and travel thru our lawyer and he is the one who send it at the USCIS office, he said he sent it MAY 24, and he told us to wait mail from USCIS, im wondering why its takes too long and even email from them we didnt receive that they receive the packet..im so worried, my visa will be expired this week, i dont know what to do, am i illegal already? and we are planning next week for vacation in different states.
