how to get police certificate what is procedure for dat?

You have to take photocopy of NIC card yours AND your mother and fathers, birth certificate, photo copy of passport page, three new passport size pictures (sometimes they want the letter of interview sometimes not)

Take that to the police department and expect to pay some money @ 1500 rupees and it should be ready in about a week maybe sooner.

8/31/15 Interview- no questions visa approved on the spot

Assalam Alaikum

i am the new member here, i have found this website very helpful and i have found many comments useful. i have filed for my husband I-130 right now it is at stage where i have to submit affadavit of support. i had a question regarding police verfication.

when do we need to submit the police verification? is it after i submit affadavit of support?

you should get it after you get noa2 approval that way it stays valid thruout the nvc stage and hopefully the interview stage as well. it's valid for 6 months. Takes about a day or two sometimes a week to receive and must be submitted in the ds 230 package to the NVC.
