Hello,

I am a Canadian living in Canada with my wife who is a Canadian and US citizen. She has lived in Canada since she was 9 or 10. We have been married for 10 years, and have 4 children who currently only have Canadian citizenship. I have applied for school in the US and assumed all I would need is a student visa, but after reading a few posts here I'm starting to think it may not be that simple. Any suggestions on the best way to proceed would be appreciated. We really don't know if we would like to stay in the US after 4 years of schooling or return to Canada. I would also prefer to start school within 6 months if that is at all possible. Thanks

I think you would need to go the DCF route, but your kids should all be dual citizens through their mother. You should just have to file some paperwork to report their birth abroad.
