Hi everyone,

Two years ago I got married in India to my bf. I have been going through this immigration process ever since. The first interview they rejected him because he could not remember my brothers full name because we all have different last names. We were asked to submit all documents to the visa office in New Delhi, India. After we submitted that we found out they started calling random people in his colony to find out where he worked and if he was married. We are both extremely reserved people and decided to just have a simple quite court marriage. They asked a lot of insane questions regarding my family....which I completely don't understand but we were still patient with it. Somehow they got numbers of random people who has nothing to do with our lives and asked about our personal lives. He was asked to come down to New Delhi one more time for another interview. At the interview, he was basically told that she did not believe him and he would not get a visa. He was told that the only way we can be together is if I moved there.....which is ridiculous...i would have thrown a fit if I was there. Then finally I went to the Senators office for help regarding this issue. He and I both send emails to the embassy regarding this issue and was told that we did not have enough proof of this marriage and it seems that it was for immigration purpose only therefore, it is being send back to USCIS. Even though the senators office is helping me through this office, it is extremely hard to get a hold of him.

Can anyone advice me on this issue? I am a full time student and it is extremely hard for me to visit my husband or hire a lawyer with my income. Should I contact the other senator of the state too, as well as the congressman/ congresswoman....any help is appreciated? I am just so stressed out with school, work and this. I haven't seen him for two years now...help please

Wow! Sorry to hear! They start calling random people asking about your marriage is ridiculous! There’s 1.2 billion people over there!

What is the age difference between you and your husband? How much evidence did you provide USCIS during initial application?

I would contact your two senators, house reps, and others if possible! Good luck!
