Travelling while OPT status pending

Guys,

I have a question. I am currently on OPT having a valid passport and F-1 visa, both of them not expiring anytime soon. I also have an EAD card application that is pending (I received my EAD card receipt). I also have a job offer from a company.

I just want to know if it is safe for me to travel to India and return back to US without any problems, with the above mentioned documents. Please reply as soon as possible as I have a family emergency.

Job offer or the OPT is not a guranteed entry on your return. Its upto the CBP officer at that point if he would want to let you enter the country or not as technically you have completed the part you came for to US - which was your education and OPT is an optional you are not required to have it.
