I've heard that I can only fill up the DS 156 Form (eletronic version) 2 days before my visit on the consulate.

Is that true?

My interview is scheduled to July 19 and I'm trying to get everything ready already, but I'm not sure I can fill up this form yet. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

No it doesn't matter. I wouldn't do it almost 2 months in advance but a couple weeks doesn't hurt (didn't for my interview).

The DS-156 is electronically filed now. It doesn't expire. We filled ours out about 2 weeks prior to our interview. Make sure you take 2 copies of the DS-156 with you to the interview. After you fill it out and submit it, it gives you the ability to print it (with a scannable barcode now on the form). I You can go ahead and print all the other forms out and begin working on those. You can schedule your medical once you receive the letter from the consulate with Case# and interview date on it. Someone said you can do it before, but the Dr requested Mari bring that letter with her. We used Dr Fava on Rua Angelica. He was very nice. Get your Police certificates together and get an authenticated copy of your birth certificate. All this can be started on now.... Good Luck
